    Its interesting to hear Hoffman say he'd been brainwashed into thinking only beautiful women were worth anything. I imagine that is largely because he lived around hollywood for most of his life, and you only have to see the oscars to see how much people in that level of showbiz are judged by what they look like.

    I found the first video quite eye-opening and really quite disturbing at times though entirely necessary to convey the message. I also enjoyed reading through the tvtropes webpage a lot of really interesting and funny stuff on there.

    Interesting to see how many popular films havent actually passed the Bechdel test - when I watched Calvary after your recommendation I did not even realise that the female characters were unequal to the male characters. Eye opening when watching new films.

    After reading the 'manly things you should know how to do' I dont know whether it was serious (males commented agreeing with the list) or supposed to be funny (what average man could tame a lion?) Still, changing a tire and quoting James Bond is not much of a task for females
